The hormones from post labor and delivery are in favor of evolution and against my personal comfort. Which is to say, that while I can intellectually tell you that 30+ hours of labor was a long time, those hormones make you forget the visceral part of the experience. I'm not even close to that experience. I'm just trying to get and stay asleep. Without excessive protest from my lower back. Ugh. I'm sure it was worse with Bo. But I don't remember this real-time, persistent ache.
Please help the pregnant lady!
Nuff said.

yes! we need to get you a back brace. i borrowed one and totally lived in it for the final three months of my pregnancy. could not have continued to work without it. my ob suggested the maternity belt they have at "one step ahead." the one i borrowed was "prescribed," by my friend's ob, so maybe ask your ob if s/he can "prescribe" one for you--do you guys have a health aid type of store (i.e. walkers, wheelchairs, etc? they also do the belt thing, too) nearby? if so, then maybe your insurance can cover it?
oh sleep. yes, I remember that and the lame reasoning that it gets your ready for midnight feedings...
