Bo was born on 6/3/07 with the rare congenital disorder currently known as Microvillous (Microvillus) Inclusion Disease. It took 2 hospitals and 5 weeks to diagnose. He became the 61st baby in the US to receive Omegaven. His nutrition is 100% TPN/Omegaven. We believe there will be a cure for this in our lifetime, and that a transplant is NOT the best option for this disease. This is our story.

6pm labs
Potassium is coming down nicely, but his bicarb has been low this whole weekend. Which is funny because it was high all week beforehand, and high when he was admitted. Another draw in the morning and hopefully at some point he pees for the urine electrolytes analysis. Jose will protect the baby's sleep and I will go home to cats to prepare for work.

Glad to hear things are starting to get back to normal. Sorry to hear about that Grandma, I swear everyone should get a lesson on what you can an can't say while in a hospital. That was not something you needed to deal with on top of everything else. Especially since he looks so good! Hope you are home soon.
